Art Effect thrived as a shopping staple in Lincoln Park since its opening in 1984 and focused on growing its successful physical location. However, when COVID-19 hit in 2020, Art Effect needed to pivot from a solely brick-and-mortar boutique and offer online shopping options for customers. Art Effect also sought to boost its digital presence to stay front-of-mind for current customers and attract new ones using social media, email marketing, and paid social advertising.
Jam-tik executed various digital marketing tactics to help Art Effect adapt to digital commerce and social shopping. We first created a new, fully-functioning e-commerce storefront integrated with their in-store POS system to ensure the Shopify site accurately and instantaneously reflects store inventory. Once the website was complete, we then curated a unique visual identity for Art Effect's social media and set up social shopping to increase social revenue. We used this new visual identity for consumer-centric email marketing campaigns to drive digital sales and increase email engagement. To maintain up-to-date imagery and high-quality content for digital marketing efforts, we sourced a local photographer and work with her on a bimonthly basis to direct ongoing photoshoots at the boutique.
