Portrait photography in Nayarit // Mexico

It's been just over a year since I upped my camera game to the FujiXT-10. I have come a long way since my first trip with it in Puerto Rico (March 2016) where I shot everything in auto and had no idea how to work the settings. Since then, I have taken two photography classes at Chicago Photography Classes, purchased a second lens, completed several client photoshoots and headshot sessions and brought my trusty cam with me on all vacations, nature day hikes, family parties and it's hard to imagine life without it.

In my recent trip to Mexico, I was able to capture some pretty fantastic photos of the locals in very small towns in Nayarit. Not many of these subjects knew english, so it was essentially me just smiling, pointing to my camera and doing a thumbs up to get the OK to snap a pic. I enjoy looking at these photographs as they remind me of the amazing energy and people I met in Nayarit.
